Nepheline Syanite is a naturally occurring, silica deficient sodium-potassium alumina-silicate. The higher total alumina and alkali contribution available from nepheline syanite produces ceramic ware with greater impact resistance, improved flexible strength, improved resistance to the stresses of thermal extremes, and mechanical shock.
Uses: Ceramic wear and body compositions which mature at low temperatures.
MSDS and TDS are available upon request.
Molochite is a hard, abrasion resistant alumina-silicate, with excellent resistance to thermal shock.
Uses: Production of ceramic and investment casting shells for hot metal casting.
MSDS and TDS are available upon request.
Tab Alumina is a highly sintered, crystalline alpha (α) alumina, known for its dense properties.
Uses: Tabular Alumina is used in unshaped and shaped high-performance refractories, for a variety of industries including steel, foundry, cement, glass, petrochemical, ceramic and waste incineration. Other common non-refractory applications include its use in kiln furniture and for metal filtration.
MSDS and TDS are available upon request.
Fluorspar is the commercial name for the mineral Florite, (calcium Fluoride, CaF2), which, when pure, consists of 51.1% Calcium and 48.9% Fluorine. Fluorspar is graded according to quality and specification into acid-grade, metallurgical grade and ceramic grade.
Uses: Metallurgical grade as a flux in steelmaking to reduce slag viscosity. Ceramic grade is used in the glass and ceramic industries. Acid grade in welding rod coatings, Aluminium production and for Hydrofluoric Acid manufacture which is then used to generate a wide range of organic and inorganic fluorine-bearing chemicals, and for anti-fouling marine paints.
MSDS and TDS are available upon request.
High purity material produced by the fusion of Cobalt Oxide and high purity Alumina.
Uses: Investment casting face coats, glass and ceramic colourants and pigments.
MSDS and TDS are available upon request.
Also known as AZS, chemical composition is a mixture of Zircon and Alumina.
Uses: A reclaimed recycled material which can be a substitute for Zircon and Alumina in some refractory products.
MSDS and TDS are available upon request.
Artificially cast basalt tiles offer high wear resistance at low cost.
Uses: Typically used for liners for iron, steel and coal industry chutes, hoppers, and silos.
MSDS and TDS are available upon request.
High density ceramic alumina tiles, with very high hardness making them highly abrasion resistant in the most difficult and critical operating conditions. Alumina tiles also show excellent chemical resistance to acids, to chemical agents in general and to oxidation.
Uses: Suitable to line all equipment or industrial plant requiring protection from corrosion and abrasion, such as: ducts, chutes, conveyors, feeders, silos, hoppers, cyclones, straight pipes, and elbows.
MSDS and TDS are available upon request.
High density ceramic Zirconia tiles, with very high hardness making them highly abrasion resistant in the most difficult and critical operating conditions. Zirconia tiles also show excellent chemical resistance to acids, to chemical agents in general and to oxidation.
Uses: Suitable to line all equipment or industrial plant requiring protection from corrosion and abrasion, such as: ducts, chutes, conveyors, feeders, silos, hoppers, cyclones, straight pipes, and elbows.
